How to Get Rid of Fatigue and Increase Vitality

With today’s demands, it’s almost impossible not to feel any form of fatigue. Fatigue is the feeling of exhaustion either physical, mental, or emotional. When you feel exhausted, it’s hard to function at your best and this can lead to a burnout once it’s not given much attention. Vitality, on the other hand, is the feeling of liveliness. It’s when you’re active and full of energy. You don’t necessarily have to be extra happy, but you feel that you are prepared to face the day and what it brings.

Ideally, you want to feel less fatigued and more vital. But how do you achieve that state? Here are a few ways you can get rid of fatigue and increase vitality.

  1. Drink lots of water.

Believe it or not, water does a lot to your body. It washes out toxins that make you feel unhealthy, and it helps you feel fresh and awake. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water will help you stay hydrated and full of oxygen.

  1. Regulate your caffeine intake.

While caffeine is known to help you stay awake enough to finish a paper or report, drinking too much of it will lead to a crash. At first, you’ll feel alive and awake, but too much of it will lead to anxiety, palpitation, and even dehydration.

  1. Exercise.

If you’ve experienced exercising, you probably know what it feels like after a workout. Yes, you feel alive and young and that’s because your body has produced a lot of endorphins (or happy hormones). Having a lot of endorphins improves the mood. At the same time, exercise can help regulate blood circulation because you get all your muscles moving and consuming energy.

  1. Have a healthy diet.

At the end of the day, a big part of your energy revolves around the food you eat. If you’re eating junk foods all the time, then you can bet that you’ll feel very unhealthy and unsatisfied making you eat more junk food. Instead, what you can eat are protein-rich foods and iodine-rich foods. Try to replace junk foods with white meat, Greek yogurt, fruits, and quinoa.

  1. Get enough rest.

Sleep is important for everyone. Getting 2-3 hours of sleep a day is not going to work if you want to feel less tired. Of course, having power naps can help you feel energized, but your cells won’t be able to recover in that short timeframe. At night, make sure to have at least 6 hours of sleep.

There are many ways to feel lively and reduce fatigue. If you would notice, all the tips stated above are the things you already know. The rule of thumb in reducing fatigue and maximizing energy is to drink healthy foods and have enough rest for your body to recover from the day’s activities.
